On the 30th of August 2024 the DI Top management team conducted a meeting with the US Embassy, Public Diplomacy section. Ms. Sara Feuerstein, the Cultural Affairs Officer and Mr. Po Eng, the Public Engagement specialist represented the US Embassy for a powerful engagement session between Dewey International Education and Training Co., Ltd (DIET) and the US Embassy. The topics covered included; collaboration and partnerships, upcoming projects, making an impact in Cambodia, facilitating cultural and learning exchanges between Cambodia and the US, scholarship opportunities, community activities, education in Cambodia and providing top quality education to the people of Cambodia.
The primary focus of the meeting was centered on the 2+2 Program, this unique program allows the student to study year 1 and year 2 at Dewey International University (DIU) in Battambang, Cambodia. After year 2 the student will transfer to Kent State University (KSU) in Ohio, USA to continue year 3 and year 4. Upon successful completion of year 4 the student will obtain their international bachelor’s degree, this international bachelor’s degree provides the student with a competitive advantage when entering the professional world and global job market. One of the great benefits of the 2+2 Program is that the student will receive a special scholarship when studying year 3 and year 4 at Kent State University (KSU), this is wonderful news for students who have the dream to study in the US, but often times face financial challenges. The first meeting was just the first step in what could be the start of an amazing collaboration and partnership for the benefit of Cambodia and USA.
