On November 8, 2024, Dewey International University warmly welcomed a delegation of 250 Grade 12 students from Pursat, who visited the campus as part of their study tour. The visit provided the students with an opportunity to explore higher education options with the 2+2 program and gain insights into university life. The delegation was warmly received by Management, faculty and staff, and DIU students who guided them through various academic departments, campus facilities, and shared information about the programs and opportunities available at Dewey International University.
Mr. Yun Bunchhay, Vice President of Operations for Dewey International University delivered the opening speech and gave a brief history about DIU, the effectiveness of the Six-in-One policy which includes skills, English for communication, Leadership & Ethics, Entrepreneurship, Computer, Technical Experiences. Finally, Mr. Yun Bunchhay also gave valid reasons for why students should study at DIU and highlighted what exactly makes Dewey International University unique.
Mr. Lloyd, The Director of Global Education for Dewey International Education and Training Co. Ltd., (DIET) shared information concerning the 2+2 program, a unique study opportunity whereby a student studies 2 years at Dewey International University in Battambang, Cambodia and 2 years at the DIU’s partner University, Kent State University in Ohio, USA. Mr. Lloyd clearly detailed the benefits of the 2+2 Program, the benefits include an international bachelor’s degree, wealth of study and job opportunities, the chance to gain a globally recognized education and skillset, access to a special scholarship for year 3 and year 4, the building of a worldwide network, and the equipping for diverse international career paths. He also explained the English requirements for the 2+2 Program which includes having the necessary TOEFL-iBT score. Mr. Lloyd ended his sharing session by informing the students about a special promotion and scholarship available for all fresh grades 12 graduates who enroll for the 2+2 Program. It is a 20% scholarship for year 1 and 2 which ends 17 November 2024.
Mr. Phorn Much, Vice President of Academics for Dewey International University shared powerful words to the faculty and staff who supported and mentored the grade 12 graduates. Mr. Phorn Much also extended appreciation to the families and friends for their encouragement and support which has been indispensable to the success of the students.
H.E. MEAS CHURANY, Director General, General Department of General Affairs of Ministry of Mine and Energy gave a speech to the grade 12 students, he inspired students to apply focus and diligence with their university studies. The expressive and impactful message gave students great encouragement to not give up, but to keep on pushing through. H.E. MEAS CHURANY also shared valuable insights when it comes to considering the best universities.
In closing, the study tour was a truly special occasion, offering the public an opportunity to gain deeper understanding of the latest trends, challenges, opportunities and innovations in the field of education. The event aimed to stand-in educational exchange and encourage the students to think critically about their future academic and professional paths.
